Luke Proskine joined Makena in 2005 and is a Managing Partner of the firm. He also leads Makena’s client and portfolio strategy. Prior to his appointment as Managing Partner, Luke served in several leadership roles at the firm, including Chief Investment Officer, Deputy Chief Investment Officer, and Head of Portfolio Strategy. Luke has also worked in both private equity and portfolio management functions at Makena. He has extensive experience working with UHNW families and serves as a board member for prominent family offices.
Before the formation of Makena, Luke worked as a Senior Investment Manager at the Stanford Management Company, where he was responsible for portfolio management and risk analysis, as well as private equity and real assets investing for the Stanford Endowment. Prior to joining Stanford Management Company, Luke worked for the Thomas Weisel Partners Investment Banking Group, where he was involved in a variety of corporate finance and M&A transactions. Luke holds a B.S. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University, and an M.B.A. with a major in Finance, with honors, from the Wharton School.
