Jenny Wang is Makena’s Tax Director. Jenny is responsible for leading the firm’s tax strategy, planning, structuring, manager and equity placement, as well as overseeing all aspects of tax compliance.

Prior to Makena, Jenny served as Director of Tax at 5AM Ventures, a leading venture capital firm focused on next-generation life sciences companies. There, she managed the full spectrum of tax functions, supporting the firm’s innovative investment strategies. Before her time at 5AM Ventures, Jenny spent over eight years as a Senior Tax Manager in Ernst & Young’s Financial Services Operations within the Wealth & Asset Management practice in San Francisco. Before joining Ernst & Young, Jenny was with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she advanced to the role of Tax Manager during her more than seven years with the firm.

Jenny holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of San Francisco and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.
