William Miller

William Miller is the Chief Operating Officer and a Managing Director of Makena Capital Management, responsible for overseeing the firms’ operations.  He is a member of the firm's Management and Investment Committees. Prior to joining Makena in 2006, Bill was the President and CEO of Valchemy, a venture-backed financial services technology company he led from initial funding in 2002 until it was acquired by IBM. Prior to Valchemy, Bill was President and COO of iMediation, S.A.  Bill spent the first half of his career at Intel and its investment arm, Intel Capital, where his team was responsible for a majority of Intel’s North American equity investments and technology licensing. In his ten years at Intel, Bill was a senior finance executive for 2 business groups and also served as a general manager, a marketing executive and a manufacturing engineer.

Bill serves on the Board of Western Technology Investment.  He holds a BS degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
