Luke Proskine is the Chief Investment Officer and a Managing Director of Makena Capital Management. In this role, he oversees asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management for Makena. Luke is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and leads the Portfolio Management Committee. In Makena's first decade, Luke has held senior roles in private equity and portfolio management. Prior to the formation of Makena, Luke worked as a Senior Investment Manager at the Stanford Management Company where he was responsible for portfolio management and risk analysis as well as private equity and real assets investing for the Stanford Endowment. Prior to joining Stanford Management Company, Luke worked for Thomas Weisel Partners’ Investment Banking Group where he was involved in a variety of corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions transactions. Luke holds a BS in Economics from Vanderbilt University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and an MBA from the Wharton School with a major in Finance where he graduated with Honors.
